Allie & Tony
A Steampunk wedding with breathtaking scenery
After seeing our steampunk designs online, Allie and Tony, who were also planning a steampunk wedding got in touch and I'm so glad they did. They were going for a totally alternative kind of day but keeping it traditional with a beautiful lake side hotel. The venue was in the heart of the Cumbrian mountains for which most guests travelled and made a whole weekend of it... my kinda party people!
They chose to invite their guests with something simple, elegant and of course steampunk. The colours featured throughout were gold, claret and black. Obviously we had to feature clockwork, this was in the form of a bespoke graphic heart design made up of cogs, gears and keyholes. The stationery was printed on textured paper which was given the olde-worlde vintage look. Kraft belly bands and kraft envelopes finished the look perfectly.
Allie did all the organising (with a little help from Tony of course) for their large family and friends gathering. on the big day irtself, Allie rocked a beautiful black wedding gown and Tony was complete with Top Hat and Victorian style suit.
The steampunk wedding design was carried through to their wedding day stationery with personalised favour tags-come place names, stempunk themed table name cards and a seating plan. Guests enjoyed Grasmere Gingerbread favours in pretty little kraft heart boxes. Tables were decorated with candelabra, Victorian Tales and carriage clocks. Their cake was black, gold and claret with beautifully intricate detailing.
