A hint of Art Deco Charlotte & Mikey
Vintage, Art Deco, classic styling and a pop of yellow.
When I met Charlotte and Mikey they had most of their wedding organised ahead of their spring church wedding. The reception was to take place at the charming Dimple Well Lodge. This old Victorian house in Wakefield is bursting with vintage character and contemporary style.
Charlotte and Mikey were unsure as to what they wanted from their design. So, after listening to their wedding plans, likes and dislikes I checked out the venue. A luxurious interior where vintage and contemporary blend together. They also have a charming and quirky garden where wooden hearts hang from the trees.
Key take away was that they loved Art Deco. They were having a relaxed day. Wedding colours were silver and yellow and florals were spring fresh.
With all this in mind, Art Deco invites were the order of the day. A monogram was created using Art Deco inspired fonts. A spring floral wreath was designed to take centre stage. Vintage and classic in style, the gate-fold invites were tied with silver ribbon, personalised tag and finished with a tiny pearl.
The look was carried through to their big day and everything worked seamlessly. The wedding room looked amazing with spring daffodils and other yellow florals and foliage creating beautiful pops of colour. The floral theme was also carried on to their stunning five-tier wedding cake.
Ornate Art Deco frames proudly showcased their table numbers and seating plan. Everything complimented each other beautifully. They were such an amazing and fun couple to work with and I loved their simple and classic styling.
